The work of interior planners is to apply advanced techniques, sensitivity, and experience to propose appropriate uses for interior space on the basis of functionality, safety, comfort, and economy, taking into consideration the times and the social milieu, and to improve the quality of the living environment by carrying out those proposals.
The occupational domain of interior planners is interior space spanning the entire living environment, including homes, offices, shops, hotels, hospitals, schools, factories, and public facilities. Their work extends from programming work, which entails concept formulation, to design work and management work, which involves quality and cost management and construction management.
